Bored on President's Day!!! ( Warning, Don't Look At This While Children Are Around!) :)

The kids decided to try an escape plan from the roof...well Dominic, Riley and Nohemy all succeeded! I figured if we ever had a fire, they would already know what to do...right???

Post for Chandra Peterson...LOL!

This weekend, I had a pretty good weekend. My cousin James came home from his mission and I had a great time reconnecting with him. I did however decide that after seeing all the photos of Chandra with MY Uncle Monte and Aunt Kimi that I was going to take some photos with them that would make her as jealous as I was of the cute pictures she has of them...so Chandra this post is mainly to make you jealous!!! LOL When I took the pictures and told Kim and Monte what I was doing they laughed and I'm sure they thought I was nutts. It was great to see them and I love them so much. I taught Kassidy how to find out if a boy is a gentlemen by the old drop your purse and see if he helps you pick it up trick...not as successful as we would have liked, but it was funny!!!

Juan's Arrest

First of all since you guys are my family, I decided to let everyone know what's going on because secrecy drives me crazy. In November right before Thanksgiving, Juan was arrested for domestic "stuff ". He is still in jail and is looking at 15 years if convicted. We are affected by this so much and it has ripped a big hole in our world. I have tried to keep a sense of normalcy for the kids, but as you can imagine it had been a nightmare. I have been running our grocery store alone and barely making it. Last week, they revoked the lease on our store in part to a morality clause that forbids arrests. So I have had stress up to you know where with money worries and trying to stay sane in this trying time. I have tried to do a few things for the kids so they can have SOME fun. One of the things I was able to do was take Mimi and Dominic to the Humanitarian Bowl. We had a great time despite the cold. One of the deputies from the Sheriff's Office gave us some tickets for free...we are so grateful for that. Another Deputy came over and talked to the kids about their job and eased the kids' concerns about policemen and they had a wonderful time and they are a little more comfortable about the whole situation. I just wanted also to say thank you to all my family and friends who have put our name in the temple and the prayers that have been given for us. We love ALL of you and thank you for your support in this darkest of times for us. We LOVE YOU ALL!!
